[Review] Jurlique BLOOM Rosewater Balancing Mist Intense

Last summer, I received Jurlique's popular face mist, BLOOM Rosewater Balancing Mist Intense in their gorgeous limited edition packaging. Jurlique is an Australian brand that believes in connecting people with nature through their products. This balancing mist is one of their best sellers and promises to entice the senses while providing a boost of hydration. Read on for my user-experience on this facial mist.

The product came in a floral box that's beyond pretty. Check out the golden brand message printed on the side of the box. The facial mist is housed in a limited edition soft rose glass bottle with golden print on its glossy body. The colour combination is right on point screaming spring chic. How can you not immediately fall in love?

Ingredients: Aqua (Water), SD Alcohol 40-A (Alcohol Denat.), Glycerin, Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate, Rosa gallica Flower Extract, Rosa canina Fruit Extract, Hibiscus rosa-sinensis Extract, Rosa centifolia Flower Extract, Rosa multiflora Fruit Extract, Fragrance/Parfum*, Althaea officinalis Root Extract, Aloe barbadensis Leaf Extract, Citrus grandis (Grapefruit) Seed Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Geraniol*, Linalool*, Citronellol*, Eugenol*, Benzyl Benzoate*. *From Natural Essential Oil (Rose - Rosa centifolia & Rosa damascena)

The mist has a tiny cap with a translucent plastic spray nozzle, which unfortunately looks a little cheap compared to the rest of the packaging. Due to its small size, the cap can be easily misplaced so keep the nozzle capped after use.

The mist itself is soft and pleasantly fragrant; it brings the image of a rose garden to mind. The scent also reminds me of the Crabtree & Evelyn Rosewater hand lotion I love. Due to alcohol being second in the ingredients list, you could still get a whiff of it as you spray it onto your face.

▹ the gorgeous packaging makes it a beautiful statement piece on your vanity;
▹ provides hydration to the skin prior to makeup, or as a part of skincare;
▹ not sticky or greasy;
▹ its natural scent feels like a treat when used on the face;

▹ the 200mL size is not travel-friendly and can be somewhat difficult to handle due to its weight;
▹ you need to play around with the spraying mechanism to get the right pressure so it's not too forceful, and regular wiping of the nozzle opening is recommended;
▹ the smell of alcohol is somewhat evident amongst the rose scent;

Overall, I am so grateful for this lovely gift and love the experience the facial mist has given me so far. My rating of the product is:
